Animals.

Yerevan has stray dogs and cats in the street, but unlike other cities with strays, there aren't too many and they sometimes along decently with the locals. There were several occasions where there were dogs or cats that became neighborhood pets. This puppy was particularly cute.

In the summer they sleep in the shade and wander around. The winter is much more difficult and they can get nasty, in their search for food and warmth.

In the fall, at the first home stay that I was living at, there was a small group of tiny, very persistent kittens that would always sneak into the house and beg for food. The family didn't like them would throw them out, often luring them with food, which would ensure that they continued to return.

There was a mother cat that lived around one of my job sights and had a litter of kittens that were fed an taken care of by the people that worked there. You can see the little ones here playing all over my backpack.

Me and Melanie had this dog follow us around one day. We found him particularly lovable so we bought him a pastry filled with meat and named him Rafi. Then we got worried we might get too attached and adopt him, so we ran away.
