Up until last week, I took the metro every day too and from where I was living. Now I live in the city center and don't need to take it anymore. But like transportation in many places, the character of the metro can tell you about the history of the city that spawned it. Come with me on a trip through the Yerevan Metro!

Although official looking, this is the only metro sign I have seen, there could be others. If you see that big, V-like letter on top of the sign that is the letter for M, i.e. Metro. Below that it says "Hanrapetutyan Hraparak Kayaran" or Republic Square Station. This station is right by republic square, one of the centers of the city.
