Ride It Like It's Stolen
by The Second Amendment
(with special guests vocals from Glock)
recorded june 2007
posted 6/11/07

Finally.

Rumors have been ping-ponging across blogspots and Pitchfork posts, restless souls have been ranting into their laptops on YouTube, young urbanites have been speaking in whispers of it at Valencia Street, Echo Lake, Wicker Park and Bedford Street, mass hysteria has nearly torn our late-aught cultural heritage into mere confetti, even congress has passed (though they were vetoed) several non-binding resolutions calling for any shred of information.

But now. Fans are rewarded with The Second Amendment's debut single. After Trigger (pic right) got her one and only carefully picked off of the bed of a Chevy pickup and Militia (pic left) has his ruthlessly ripped apart on the mean streets of the Mission, there was only one course of action.

Every summer needs an anthem.

(Bonus: To see animation, rollover the pic with your mouse when Trigger sings, roll off when she stops.)

The song journal is intended to be a showcase of songs and sounds from the community with new sounds posted weekly, on Mondays. If you have a piece of music you have recorded, a radio show that you've done, a weird song that your cat sings, a story you want to read, or any tidbit of sound that you have found particularly of note, mail us! And with the beauty of the internet, you don't have to be located in the our home base of San Francisco. So even if you are far away, or have not spoken to us in a while, or do not even know who we are, you can still be part of the community. Also, if you have an idea of something you wish to record, but not the means of doing the recording, we have our own recording studio which you can use at your leisure! Mail Jeremy to set something up.
